Time for another If&Then Thursday!

If&Then Thursdays is a book meme created by Alex@ Young at Heart Books. How do you participate? It’s easy! All you have to do is choose two books that are somewhat related in theme, writing style, genre, etc. Tell us how they are similar and why we would like them! All recommendations should be made in this format:

Here’s my recommendation for this week:

WHY? These books really don’t have anything similar in terms of the plot, but they are similar in the sense that they both deal with extremely sensitive and controversial subject matter. It Ends With Us [see my review here!]made me an emotional mess and Forbidden [Review here] was equally devastating and uncomfortable, even if I didn’t feel quite as attached to the characters. If you want to read an emotional, dark book that makes you challenge the way you think about controversial subjects, you should read Forbidden. I highly recommend both of these books!
