What if the most terrifying person you know is your ten-year-old sister?

My Sister Rosa by Justine Larbalestier

I’m about halfway through this book and I’m enjoying it so far. Rosa is a creepy sociopath child! I was wondering how realistic this would be after reading the synopsis (like seriously, how do the parents not see that their child is evil?!) but it is actually done very well. I definitely want to see how the rest of this story plays out.

What did you recently finish reading?

A Conjuring of Light by V.E. Schwab (Shades of Magic#3) 4★

What a wonderful conclusion! I adored the Shades of Magic series and I am sad to say goodbye to Kell, Lila, Rhy, Alucard. I was extremely pleased with the conclusion and the only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because I got tired of the rapid POV changes. I felt like it took away from my overall enjoyment of the story. However, still a highly recommended series!

Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli 5★

Honestly…this book was the cutest. I will absolutely read more books by Becky Albertalli, she is hilarious! Simon was a great narrator. I love how he wasn’t your typical “unpopular, strange but suddenly getting attention from the dreamy good-looking character” narrator I see in so many YA contemporaries. He was so…normal! He was funny, confident, had a lot of friends and still an extremely likable narrator. The emailing back and forth with the mysterious boy reminded me a bit of P.S. I Like You and I loooved it. It was adorable. Review to come.

Dark Matter by Black Crouch

Soooo… I forgot I owned this? I bought it a while ago and never got around to reading it. I think I am going to change that ASAP. This will be my first Blake Crouch book so I am excited to see what I think! Have any of you read Dark Matter?
