NetGalley Book Tag

Hi everyone! I first wanted to say thank you to Kourtni @ Kourtni Reads for tagging me in her NetGalley Book Tag :). Books tags are a lot fun and allows bloggers to get to know one another. Sorry it took me so long to get this one written! Here are the rules for the NetGalley tag:

  • Link back to the tag’s creator (Kourtni Reads)
  • Thank and link back to the person who tagged you
  • Answer the questions the best you can. If you don’t use NetGalley, you can substitute other sites or places where you get books!
  • Tag a few people to do this too

Auto-Approved: Who’s one author whose books you automatically want to read, regardless of what they’re about?

So there’s plenty of authors I love, but I am going to answer with the authors who I am planning on diving into next. They all have plenty of books I need to read! I eventually want to start reading all of the books from Cassandra Clare, Colleen Hoover and Patrick Ness. I have only heard wonderful things about all of their books. I also learned that A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness is going to be made into a movie! That bumps up his book a little higher on my TBR.

I plan on diving into these once I get Overdrive set up with my library card. Maybe I’ve been living under a rock, but I just discovered Overdrive and its amazing! You get a library card, add your library and you can borrow ebooks. I was very happy to see Cassandra Clare and CoHo books on there so I will be entertained for a while.

Request: What makes you want to request a book that you see on NetGalley?

Usually the cover and synopsis, but as I delve further into the blogging world I am discovering ARCs from other bloggers and I try to grab those on NetGalley as well.

Feedback Ratio: Do you review every book you read? If not, how do you decide what books to review?

As of now, yes I do. I’m relatively new to blogging and I’m trying to build my stats on NetGalley. I plan on continuing to review every book I read unless I have a DNF. Its very hard to maintain the feedback ratio! I need to spend some quality time with my ARCs before requesting anything else 🙂

Badges: If you could create your own badge to display on your blog, what would it be for?

This is a tough one. I would probably design a badge for YA fantasy. I’ve only been blogging for a little over a month but I have been reading YA fantasy for years! I’d like to show readers I’m a dedicated fantasy bookworm 🙂

Wish for It: What’s one book that you are absolutely dying to read?

Empire of Storms by Sara J. Maas! I pre-ordered this one a while ago an I’m hoping I will have it in my hands in a few weeks. I’m a huge fan of the series and this is probably one of my most anticipated books of the year.

2016 NetGalley Challenge: What was the last book that you received as an ARC that you reviewed? If you’ve never received an ARC, what’s the last book you reviewed?

41ybrfknzzl

The last ARC I read and reviewed was The Delphi Effect by Rysa Walker. I will post my official review a little closer to the release date. I was unfortunately bored and disappointed with this book.  The premise was great with ghosts, murders and covert government organizations and yet I still found it boring and riddled with pop culture references that detracted from the story.

I have a lot of tags I need to catch up on so I apologize if I’m piling another one on your list! I am tagging:

Niraja @Fantastic Books and Where to Find Them

Literary Dust

Claire | Art and Soul

No worries if you don’t want to do it, but if you do, I look forward to your answers 🙂

  1. Sorry it’s taken me 2 days to actually read your responses! 😛
I’m hoping to read A Monster Calls soonish as well. I’ve been wanting to read a Patrick Ness book for awhile and since this one is being made into a movie, I want to read it so I can watch the movie. 🙂
By the way, I never would’ve guessed that you’ve only been blogging for a bit over a month! Judging by your posts, it definitely seems like you’ve been blogging for much longer. 🙂
